Q:who really saved Derek from the ripe tide? A:Bodi I liked how Carly has that try to get the diamond without touching the lasers game in her basement!

Why did Derek want to go to Martha's vineyard so much? He wanted to continue his investigation on the girl who had supposedly "saved" him from drowning.
Something I liked about this book was how the author used real locations. In most books, the authors make places up. I loved this feature of the book.
Something else I noticed about the book was how much each character was very descriptive. Derek described his learning camp very carefully. He also described his feelings very well.
Q: Who actually saves Dereck's life? A: Bodi {Dereck's dog] grabs him by the diaper well he's about to go in to the ocean and saves his life. Q: What does he do in the Summer? A: He goes to Summer School, goes to his grandma's, and goes to Marth's Vineyard.
Q: Why did Derek want to go to Martha's Vineyard? A: To learn more about how Susan James drowned while "rescuing him."
Q: How did Susan James actually drown? A: She was supposed to babysitting Derek, but she took him to the beach where she was meeting with some people. The riptides were too strong and pulled her under the water. Bodi actually saved Derek.
I think that this is a great book if you need something to read really quick.
